Tell us a little bit about yourself.

My names Simon and I was born in the countryside. I have always been into the alternative world and my first taste of extreme sports was skateboarding. I didn’t fit in with the crowd much back then so when my dad asked me if I wanted to move to the coast I jumped at the opportunity to move away! It was then that I discovered surfing and it took its hold on me. I used to do a lot of competitive surfing but never had the right image so despite good results never got the recognition so I slowly moved away from that scene and became a freesurfer. This has allowed me to be a lot more creative with my sport and really push my boundaries.

Where in the world are you now?

Right now I’m staring out of my window in newquay watching the rain fall and wondering what the waves are like.

How long have you been surfing?

I have been surfing for almost 20 years now.

What’s your favourite board/set up?

My favourite board right now is my black twin fin fish! A true beast in the water!

Where’s your favourite place you have surfed?

Favourite wave I’ve surfed would probably be some secret point breaks out in Morocco!

What’s on the cards for the rest of this year?

Not a lot on for the rest of this year other then working on my YouTube channel (Puff and Fluff) and doing up my house with my partner.

Whats your favourite Black Spell design?

It’s an impossible toss up between the Tudor Shroom Tee and the Space Witch Tee. Both amazing designs!

Where’s on your bucket list to travel to or achieve in the future?

Finish our house, visit Portugal and surf as much as possible. I would also like to finally nail a full rotation on camera!
