“A society that values people’s differences”

Neil deGrasse Tyson

World renowned astrophysicist, Neil deGrasse Tyson (@neildegrassetyson) has joined the cast of Humanity Stoked! Neil’s inclusion in this epic documentary, along with other scientist/skaters is invaluable in widening the film’s appeal by sharing perspectives on issues that affect all of humanity, including climate change, energy and resource sustainability, how we deal with fear, and more. Neil is one of the world’s most famous scientists, bestselling author, host of the award winning tv show Cosmos, and the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetarium, at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC.

In the film, Neil focuses mainly on important scientific challenges we face. In this clip however, it’s cool to hear Neil speak so fondly about skateboarders and how our drive relates to making this world a better place.
